Our clean purpose
Mama Bee Soaps has been created with the purpose in mind of making eco-friendly Raw Honey soaps to nurture the skin – as well as taking care of bees at the same time.
Preserving nature and bees
This aim is at the forefront of everything we do at Mama Bee Soaps – it’s why we don’t use palm oil, plastic packaging or synthetic ingredients. Through our entire supply chain, none of the ingredients have been tested on animals and we source many ingredients from organic and sustainable co-operatives.
Our soaps are biodegradable and ocean friendly, as we’ve purposely removed ingredients which are deemed to be skin safe, yet often end up as nanoparticles in the ocean.
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED
For the majority of our soaps, our Raw Honey is sourced from Bermondsey Street Bees, a multi award-winning sustainable beekeeping practice in London, widely recognised for their educational initiatives and incredible honey.
We also work with other small and sustainable beekeepers who are known for their quality honey and best practice.

Having a clean purpose and leaving as little negative impact on the environment as possible is so important to us at Mama Bee Soaps and we’re committed to choosing the most eco-friendly options whenever we can.
The bee cause
Bees have been around for approximately 30 million years – and humans and bees have a history that dates back for thousands of years.
Bees are such an important part of the world’s eco system and the extinction of bees would have catastrophic consequences to life. One in every three mouthfuls of our food depends on pollinators, and almost 90% of wild plants and 75% of leading global crops depend on animal pollination.
Every year pollinator numbers are declining due to pesticide use, habitat loss, climate change and disease. But sustainable beekeeping practices can help bees. These practices focus on protecting and maintaining viable populations of healthy, indigenous honey bees – as opposed to harvesting honey at the industrial scale, which often leads to harmful practices. Buying raw English honey supports local beekeepers, their bees and the local pollination levels, which in turn has a positive impact on the local environment.
At Mama Bee Soaps we only source our Raw Honey from sustainable beekeeping practices. And we’re part of Work for Good, an initiative which helps us to support bee saving charities through every soap you buy.
